NZ Crane Group is a privately owned business with credentials, cornerstone investors and a highly experienced management team.
HISTORY
1999: NZ Crane Hire is formed through the acquisition of Central Cranes Ltd.
2000: NZ Access Hire is formed to provide elevated work platform solutions.
2004: NZ Tower Cranes is formed to provide self-erecting tower crane services.
2005: AMP purchase a majority shareholding in NZ Crane Hire, NZ Access Hire, NZ Tower Cranes and amalgamates the three companies to form NZ Crane Group.
2010: NZ Crane Group and KR Wind form an Alliance to jointly service the Wind Energy industry in New Zealand. This saw the largest mobile crane being brought in to the country, a 600 tonne Terex Demag TC-2800 wheeled lattice boom crane. KR Wind is a 100% owned subsidiary of Mammoet.
2011: NZ Crane Group purchases 7 new cranes, including a 450 tonne capacity Grove GMK7450, which will be the largest hydraulic crane available in New Zealand.
2012: NZ Crane Group divests their Access division NZ Access Hire to concentrate on their core business; providing skilled and specialist operators with a divers offering of cranes and transport equipment.
Today NZ Crane Group operates as one of the most successful crane service providers in New Zealand.
